STEP employs approximately 50 employees and has an annual turnover in excess
of £1m. In order to sustain its activities, the organisation generates
income from a multiplicity of sources – including contracts and
grants from LSC / EU Objective 1 / DfES / DTI / Community Fund / Local
Education Authority / Yorkshire Forward/ Adventure Capital Fund/ Esmee Fairbairn Trust.
In addition STEP generates a small surplus from its managed workspace facility at STEP Business Centre.
