Early STEP's Nursery and Children's Centre is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm for children aged six months to five years and up to seven years during holiday time, all are looked after by qualified, experienced staff.

The Nursery is divided into two rooms named Caterpillar Room and Butterflies. Each room is designed to provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment for the children.

Caterpillars are children aged between six months and approximately 2.5 years. The room is registered for 10 children. Within this room they follow the Birth to Three matters frame work, encouraging all children to develop at their own individual pace.

Butterflies are children aged 2 years plus. The room is registered for 20 children, with the younger children still following the Birth to Three matters frame work. When a child reaches their 3 rd Birthday, they will then begin working towards the Early Learning Goals by experiencing a wide variety of activities and opportunities.

We aim to provide a variety of activities, using our skills and qualifications and we will encourage your child to take part in new activities and make new friends!

Continuity of Care

We think continuity of care is very important for all the children and because of this we try to do everything we can to minimise changes for your child. We see it as important that your child is placed in a similar aged group. This gives your child a more stable and secure experience.
