Family & Young People’s Learning & Activities

The CDU offers a wide range of activities for under 19s, from our very sociable Music & Song sessions for babies and pre-school children to our work with 8-13 year olds in which we have run and organised a full range of sports and outdoor activities as well as art and craft activities. We continue to develop this programme and link with other partners to provide cohesive and varied activities to positively engage with this age range.  This year we have also started a new programme of activities aimed at 13+ year olds. This commenced with free drumming lessons and will hopefully expand to include other activities.

How do I check what’s on or book onto a course?

Please telephone Deborah, Helen or Margaret on 0114 283 8692

Or email:

If we are unable to offer you a place on a course immediately, or if the course start date is not convenient for you, we will be happy to take your contact details and keep you informed of future events.

A nominal fee is charged for all courses in our Adult Learning programme. However, many include basic tools and materials and offer good value for money as well as the opportunity to try something new without too much expense or commitment.
